VE DAY
CREATIVE DIRECTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER – MARK JENNINGS

Mark was honoured to play his role as the Creative Choreographer for London’s 80th anniversary VE Day celebrations (5–8 May 2025). This major event featured a major military procession from Whitehall to Buckingham Palace, a Red Arrows flypast, and a Westminster Abbey service. Key events include a 30,000-ceramic-poppy display at the Tower of London and concluded with a concert at Westminster Hall, and a Royal Albert Hall party. The star studded evening concert at Horse Guards Parade and at the Royal Albert Hall. The artists included Samantha Barks (singing “We’ll Meet Again”), Calum Scott (performing “The White Cliffs of Dover”), and Fleur East.The event, hosted by Zoe Ball, featured dancers from Strictly Come Dancing and readings from Dames Joan Collins, Mary Berry, and Sheila Hancock, along with a speech reenactment by Brian Cox.: The West End cast of Operation Mincemeat performed. As did Katherine Jenkins, Katie Ashby, the D-Day Darlings, and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
