FILM DIRECTOR – MARK O’ LEARY

Techeetah DS Formula E team and Mark O ‘Leary are proud to present the launch film for the “DS E-TENSE FE19”, which is truly an alliance between performance and avant-garde. The creative concept celebrates the fluidity of artistic expression with the technical precision of the new “Gen2” car. Formula E – an all-electric street racing championship – is heralded as the future of motorsport, and thus a cutting edge piece of technology deserves equally innovative film-making techniques.

Although an array of post-production programmes were employed to create the finished product, there was a strong emphasis on capturing the footage in camera and utilising projection mapping and motion control robotics over a two day shoot with the car and drivers: Jean-Eric Vergne – the reigning FE drivers’ champion – and Andre Lotterer in Paris, France.

Mark O’ Leary devised, developed and delivered this launch film for the Chinese Formula E team and their new partner DS Automobiles that showcases the beauty of the car and hints at the success to come.
