CHOREOGRAPHER – MARK JENNINGS

Creative Director and Choreographer Mark Jennings was presented with the concept of Human meets Machine for this Jax Jones “This is Real” music video. The scene was set up with a Jax Jones cheerleader who was set against an artificial robotic opponent which was cleverly staged and choreographed and brought to life by the upbeat track. This remarkable piece establishes an almost human connection between the two. A BOLT high speed cinebot was used in the making – a motion control arm specially developed for use with the Phantom camera to capture movement in super slow motion. This was the biggest challenge as not only was there choreography to be created with human dancers but every tiny movement from the robot had to be choreographed and logged in to the machine.
