Alex was commissioned to choreograph Donel Mangena, Bang Like A Drum performance for the The Voice Kids. Donel wanted four dancers for the performance being two sets of twins. The costume design was to have both the female and male dancers dressed the same, giving Donel that extra edge to stand out. The choreography was to create a “cool street vibe” Donel at the forefront, coming in and out of the choreography, engaging with the crowd using his unique freestyle background. Alex created a signature step that went viral.
